Anoushka Chowdhary
Anoushka is currently a PhD student at the University of Arizona pursuing her doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She received her BA in Psychology from the University of Chicago, and managed Dr. Ashley Mason’s Sleep, Eating and Affect lab in the Osher Center for Integrative Health at the University of California San Francisco after graduation. She is broadly interested in the bidirectional relationship between psychological and physiological factors as it pertains to health outcomes. Some of her ongoing research looks at an integrative mind-body treatment for depression (using whole-body hyperthermia and cognitive behavioral therapy). Her current work in the Laboratory for Social Connectedness & Health with Dr. David Sbarra assesses the interdependent relationship between sleep and subjective mood states in recently divorced adults.
