Ronald Chau, Ph.D.

A former economist at the Australian Treasury and Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, I literally traveled halfway around the world to change careers and pursue science-based existential and clinical psychology at the University of Arizona. I am broadly interested in how people cope with and potentially grow from adverse life experiences. I am particularly interested in how people make meaning from their suffering, and my current research is focused on evaluating the feasibility and acceptability of a novel existential narrative therapy for persons recently separated from their ex-partners. I completed my clinical internship at the University of Delaware Counseling Center Services.
